Digoine is located at the heart of a very touristic area on the border lines of Drôme, Ardèche, Vaucluse and Gard and offer many attractions without making long distances.
The most popular activity is of course to discover the ardeche river on a canoe. This one day adventure is a must here but you can also explore caves: Aven d'Orgnac, St Marcel Cave and the famous newly discovered Chauvet cave or attend the crocodiles lunch at the crocodile farm.
Outdoor activities are endless: trekking, mountain bike, canyoning, horse riding and quad, windsurf at the lake (3 km), swimming in the ardeche river (10 km), Golf at Clansayes (9 holes)(10km) and la Valdaigne (18 holes).
On summer time choosing a cultural event is embarrassing among: the festival of hand writing and theatre at Grignan, the lyric art festival of Chorégies d’Orange, country music festival at St Marcel d’Ardèche, blues festival at Bagnols sur Cèze, theatre festival of Avignon...
Of course you can also just rest in the court yard with a good cigar, a glass of wine, listening at a nice jazz tune. Then after making a dive in the swimming pool after sunset you will think before sleeping to the motto of Brilliat Savarin "To welcome a guest is to take care of his happiness for the duration of his stay".
